Canvas Site Request

Use this form to request a Development, a Template site, a Project site, or a Backup site.

Once you have your Canvas Certification, you can request any of the following types of Canvas sites:
  • Development site - Design and build your site before importing it into a live site (Development site does not get a roster)
  • Project site - Committees, departments or other groups
  • Backup site - Shell for a live site with students removed (you must import the content of the live site into the Backup site)
*NOTE: Live course site - You must log into MyPortal to request "live" Canvas sites for scheduled classes
 
Please submit a separate form for each site that you want created.
This service is limited to Foothill College employees only.
 

Winter Break - December 20 through January 6

Foothill Online Learning office will be closed. Any request submitted after 5pm, Monday, December 17 will not be processed until after January 7, 2019.

Be sure that you are familiar with the basics of Canvas before you start building your site.

You MUST have "Canvas Certification" at Foothill College before you can request a Canvas site. If you don't have it, please submit the Canvas Certification Request form to get "Canvas Certification."

8. If you want, we can set up your new site with a template that you can modify. Do you want your new site to be empty or to have a template?
Please allow business five days, excluding holidays and office closures, for the creation of your sites. You will receive an email confirmation when your sites are done. Thank you.
